Dance Homebase: Vancouver Kathryn Ricketts has worked in the field of movement and visual arts for over 25 years. She has worked as a set designer, costume designer, dancer and choreographer across Canada. She ran her own dance company in Copenhagen for 10 years and now runs MainDance, a three-year professional dance training program and Plan B Dance Productions, her professional company. For the past five years, Kathryn has been working with schools, galleries and community centres using movement and visual art to focus on social/political issues. Using her interdisciplinary training, her own work focuses on the collaborative. Her work has been shown in South America, Egypt, Europe and Canada. |

Fee Range: $75/hour-$250/day
Kathryn constructs and maintains a safe environment where students can be challenged, inspired, informed and entertained. This movement residency explores the theme of bullying through theatrical and physical improvisations working with an environment that fosters creativity and a sense of safety and trust. The students will work through imagery, text and sound to create a series of sequences complete with a collectively composed sound score
