A woman of distinction

Over 1000 women and men packed the glittering hall of the Westin Bayshore on June 3rd for a gala-gala-do that feted some of the city’s most outstanding women. ArtStarts Executive Director, Wendy Newman was one of the nominees in the Arts, Culture & Design category for her lifelong dedication to the arts including the establishment of the ArtStarts gallery for young people’s art.
While she did not win the award, it was wonderful and inspiring event for all of us. ArtStarts thanks Blake Cassels, Graydon for sponsoring tables so staff, board and family could enjoy a magical evening out.
