Monkey See, Monkey Make: Family Day at ArtStarts

Join us to celebrate BC Family Day at ArtStarts as we come together as a family and as a community! This year, Family Day falls on Chinese New Year and we thought this was a great opportunity to double the celebration!

We will be open from 10am to 4:30pm on Monday, February 8, with lots of special family activities taking place throughout the day, including yoga, storytelling, art-making, a movie and a surprise.

From the tiniest to the full-grown monkey in your troop, come and stretch as a family! Once you’re all invigorated from yoga, engage in arts based activities that explore family identity. You can also stay and curl up for some cozy story time and finally unwind and laugh together with a movie screening of The Croods.

Family Day Activities on Monday, February 8:

• 11am - 11:30am: Family Yoga
• 11:30am - 12pm Unveiling of the Imagination Station
• 12pm - 12:45pm: Storytelling: various family-themed books will be read
• 1pm - 2:30pm: Movie Screening: The Croods
• Ongoing: Art making stations that connect families and honour the Chinese New Year, The Year of the Monkey.

The ArtStarts Gallery is located in downtown Vancouver, at 808 Richards Street, at the corner of Robson Street. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
