Fat Cat Banner Project

This stunning piece is one of a series of 12, 10-foot banners created by grades 3 students (yes grade 3!) from Kelowna to market the local Fat Cat Festival.
Students worked in small groups to plan and paint whimsical narratives featuring the Fat Cat theme by intermingling symbols and myths from their local area.
Students contributed to the history and significance of this important and longstanding community festival with these banners that marked the festival site.
