Join us this weekend for printmaking workshops with Colette Lisoway!
Kids and families are invited to join artist Colette Lisoway in her workshop, Celebrating Seasonal Birds, to explore printmaking processes and techniques while learning about our seasonal birds, their behaviours and local habitats.
You'll move around to different printmaking stations where you'll be able to make your own printing plate, print with lino blocks and stamps, and give screenprinting a go. Using layers of images, patterns and text printed on to cloth, you'll create a bird flag for yourself or for our community art installation.
Be prepared to have some fabulous fun, get crazy creative and marvelously messy.
Take part in Colette Lisoway's workshops either in Vancouver or in New Westminster:
Admission is free. No registration necessary, but do come early as this is a popular program. Each 45-minute workshop takes place twice, at 11am and 1pm. This workshop is recommended for ages 4 and up, but all are welcome!
