Volunteer at the ArtStarts ShowcaseWe are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers to help us put on our annual Showcase. ArtStarts in Schools will be hosting a 2-day conference on March 1st and 2nd, featuring performances by over 30 artists and groups. We are looking for students or professionals with theatre production experience or stage craft training (Additional training will be provided.) |
2011 Showcase in ReviewA month has passed since ArtStarts hosted the 2011 Showcase and we’ve had some time now to reflect on – and recover from – this exciting and rewarding annual event. Showcase connects school and community arts programmers with a diverse range of professional arts groups available for touring schools. Many months of planning and preparation go into creating a three-day event that is well-programmed, well-organized and well-attended. Looking back we can safely say that those goals were achieved. |
ArtStarts postpones Showcase until February 2011For many years, ArtStarts has brought together artists and school district delegates from around BC for our exciting Spring Showcase. The event helps arts programmers select from a diverse range of professional arts groups when booking performances for young audiences in their communities. However, after careful consideration, ArtStarts has decided to postpone our April 2010 Showcase until February 2011. |
A Special VisitIt's not Halloween yet, but people are already showing up in costume at ArtStarts! Applications for the 2010 Showcase are streaming in.
