All aboard! In this exciting performance by Boris Sichon, the audience will explore the globe via a celebration of world music from different nations and traditions.
Boris' performance and workshop, Musical Adventures of Marco Polo, explores the ways in which music is an expression of cultural identity and of community. Hear how the environment influences the types of instruments (wind, percussion, string, etc.) that are produced and utilized by the people of the world.
Boris is the owner of a unique collection of ethnic musical instruments he has compiled in his international travels as a performer. His collection is now comprised of over 400 rare and unique musical instruments, many of which he will introduce during this performance.
