Volunteer Testimonial

ArtStarts would like to recognize the hard work of our very talented volunteer Anna Creasy. Anna came to ArtStarts in November 2011 to work on the gallery reception and the installation of the Kingsway Project. Anna's background in illustration and film production were instrumental in working with ArtStarts in the different components of the exhibition and making the sign illustrations representing the streets where the participating schools of the Kingsway Project are located.

Here is how Anna has described her experience at ArtStarts:

"I received a warm welcome from the team at ArtStarts making it a pleasure to volunteer my time. It was great to be a part of the creative energy and see the Kingsway Project unfold. It began to feel more like play than work in the gallery; peeling vinyl, cutting, mounting and drawing on the walls. All the effort was especially worth it when the kids arrived and saw their work on the wall and were happy to stand up and show their colouring in work. Mixed in with some great baking skills, ArtStarts is a cocoon of loveliness. I hope in the future I'll have the chance to work there again."
