Development + Communications Manager
ArtStarts in Schools is seeking a Development + Communications Manager for a regular full-time position starting November 1, 2011. This position reports to the Executive Director and works with the Fund Development Committee for the planning and implementation of all fundraising and communication activities of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop an annual fundraising plan with implementation strategies and tactics
- Develop an annual communications plan with implementation strategies and tactics
- Build public awareness of the organization; cultivate donor relations and manage donor database
- Lead the planning and implementation of special events
- Compile qualitative and quantitative statistics and reports related to program operations
- Support the ED with grant writing
- Manage the organization’s profile/brand
- Design and produce marketing collateral (including the annual Artists Directories)
- Manage the organization’s website (generate and update content)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary training in Fundraising Management and Communications + Marketing
- Graphic Design training and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- 3+ years of related work experience with demonstrated success in a fundraising role
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with financial statements
- Strong technical skills and ability to work with online content management systems
- Experience with MS Access an asset
- Superb communication and writing skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships
This is a regular full-time position (35 hrs/week) with a salary between $42,000 – $45,000 plus benefits and three weeks of vacation.
