Welcome to our new Professional Development Manager, Jeff Langille!

We would like to welcome Jeff Langille to the ArtStarts team. As Professional Development Manager, Jeff will lead the Infusion program and develop exciting professional development opportunities for teachers and artists across British Columbia.

Jeff's career encompasses the worlds of both art and education. After earning a degree in Art History, Jeff went on to gain 11 years of experience teaching early primary students with the Vancouver School Board.

Jeff also maintains his own art practice, focusing on the medium of video. He recently completed a MFA from Simon Fraser University, where he was able to deepen his academic and experiential learning in his field.

Having implemented many arts-based learning experiences in his own classroom, Jeff sees a world of possibilities presented by learning in and through the arts.

"As an approach to teaching, arts integration has the potential to support students and teachers in practical ways, and to make a difference in communities," he explains. "I'm really looking forward to getting back into schools. What I am most excited about is working with teachers and artists."
