Welcoming Keiko into Her New Role at ArtStarts
We're happy to welcome Keiko into the role of Residencies and Exhibitions Manager. Keiko first joined the ArtStarts team as the Communications Coordinator in 2010 and as of June 2011, has taken over management of the Artists in Education 2 program as well as the management and curation of our wonderful gallery.
Having benefited from an art-full upbringing herself, Keiko is thrilled to now support the connecting of young people in schools across the province with professional artists through the Artists in Education 2 program. She also loves the opportunity to be on ArtStarts' "front lines", working one-on-one with the artists and teachers on a daily basis, not to mention bringing the ArtStarts gallery to life with the artwork created by students through the AIE2 program.
With a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Keiko brings first hand experience and understanding gained through the practice of art to her new role.
