ArtStarts is Hiring! Job Posting for Program Coordinator

ArtStarts in Schools is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team for a one year contract. This is a temporary full-time position starting late-May 2016.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post secondary education in a relevant field

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an administrative role in an office atmosphere

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Booking and Touring: Supporting the coordination of artistic performances in schools across the province
• ArtStarts Showcase: Supporting the annual performing arts showcase and conference
• Financial Support: Supporting the Director of Finance & Administration one day/week with invoicing, reconciliations, processing fees, providing receipts, and preparing bank deposits
• General Administration: Supporting general office administration

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

• Superb communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
• Passion for promoting the role of the arts in education
• Advanced administrative skills to manage and organize information efficiently
• Focused, organized and thorough when accomplishing tasks with concern for detail
• Strong analytical skills and interest in working with data
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word plus experience with MS Access
• Geographic understanding of the province of British Columbia
• Positive demeanour and open attitude to take on multiple tasks and support the team
