Celebrating Our Community and the Next 20

At the end of last week, we had the honour of celebrating with many of the people we interviewed about the role of the arts and creativity in the Next 20 years—and beyond!

These community builders all work in diverse fields—healthcare, real estate, transportation, food, ethnobotany and more!—but they are all united in the belief that the arts and creativity are important both for young people and in their own daily lives. Together, we shared a wonderful meal, played creative games, learned a bit more about what art looks like in schools today and had lots of wonderful, thoughtful discussions.

One hilarious highlight of the evening was working in groups to write a poem we called Creativity for Life, inspired by the question, "What does creativity look like at the age of 5, 18, 25, 40, 65 and 80?"

It was wonderful seeing everyone connecting with each other. Something magical happens when you bring a room full of inspiring minds and warm hearts together. Thanks for being a part of our supportive, creative community!
