On BC Family Day, the National Film Board of Canada came to ArtStarts for a Stop Animation workshop. Our gallery was transformed into an animation studio complete with seven-eyed pink monsters, cactus and even an outer space set!
Two amazing NFB Education Specialists, Claudia and Ashley, taught us a bunch of great stuff about animation and the process of making a film. They provided pop-up sets, cameras and iPads to create our own animations.
We made flipbooks and storyboards and then turned these ideas into animations using our own clay creatures! Our day ended with a screening of the movies we made. Thanks, NFB!
