Welcome to Our New Program Coordinator, Andrea Robin!
Please join us in welcoming Andrea Robin to the ArtStarts team!
Andrea may be a familiar face to you, as she has been volunteering with ArtStarts for several months, welcoming gallery visitors, leading tours and emceeing exhibition openings. She now joins the ArtStarts team full-time in our offices, taking on the role of Program Coordinator. Andrea will be assisting with Booking and Touring, working with schools and performing artists.
Andrea is fascinated with learning more about how we think and learn. With a BFA in Visual Arts from Emily Carr University, Andrea's innate curiosity led her to study Neuroscience at Dalhousie University.
"I don't see art and science as separate," says Andrea, "They are linked and offer a way of understanding one another. It's a synergy."
Andrea is excited to be part of an organization that shares her belief that education can change the world. She is looking forward to giving back to young learners.
Other staff updates to note: With Andrea now working on Booking and Touring, Laura Aliaga has taken on the role of Grants Manager from Emily Beam, who is on parental leave until Summer 2017.
