In our 45-minute show, this talented ensemble of youth tap dancers, ages 12 to 17, pay tribute to the masters of tap and present cutting-edge rhythm tap. Audiences delight in classic routines such as "Laura" by Buster Brown and Dr. Harold Cromer's "Opus One", as well as work by international artists commissioned by the Vancouver Tap Dance Society, ranging from traditional to contemporary, funk and swing. Following the show is a 15 minute talk back where the audience can ask the dancers about the show and tap dance in general. You might even learn a few steps along the way!

Testimonials & Reviews

We have had TapCo at our school three times over the last number of years and every time they put on a high energy and highly engaging show. It has been a pleasure to host such an entertaining group who demonstrates that young performers can be true professionals. Todd Millway, Performance Committee, Sir Alexander Mackenzie Elementary
TapCo completely delighted our audience. I most certainly recommend this group to the ArtStarts community. Michael Cade, Executive Director, Chilliwack Cultural Centre
It was one of the most packed and entertaining hour-long shows I’ve ever been lucky enough to watch (and at 80 I’ve seen a few). The dancers were so happy and committed to their craft and I loved the variety of the numbers and the music – great keyboardist! And wow, emcees usually introduce, then step back into the shadows. Not this one! Just great to see the leader working up a sweat alongside his team yet not hogging the limelight. Wonderful! I would go again in a heartbeat. Neil McBurney, The Dance Centre audience member
