A full day of *Flow Arts workshops with the option to include a 30 minute assembly performance by the Master of ‘Martial Artistry’, The FloWarrior. Choose from a variety of exciting, fun, and accessible Flow Arts disciplines: lightsabers, staff spinning, folding fans, rope darts, rice hats. The FloWarrior draws from his background in Physics to break down movement techniques into clear, easily digestible pieces, while also helping students to understand the underlying physical principles at play. Through learning the fundamental process of skill development, students will leave feeling empowered with the knowledge they need to excel at any practice. Safe practice equipment will be provided for in-person workshops. Schools will have to resource their own materials for virtual workshops. (e.g. inexpensive pool noodles cut in half work great as safe practice sabers) *‘Flow Arts’ is a general term used to describe a variety of movement disciplines (e.g. dance, martial arts, circus, juggling etc…) that combine skill-based techniques with creative expression to achieve a state of present-moment awareness known as the Flow State; which has been described and studied in many high performance athletes/artists around the world.
