After a month of collecting our favourite books for A Good Book Drive, we've had to say goodbye to our crate full of stories... Of course, we're thrilled to know they are going to a good home at the Vancouver literacy program, The Writers' Exchange.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the ArtStarts Gallery to drop off books! What a wonderful collection we ended up with, from The Paper Bag Princess to The BFG.
Not everyone chose a book specifically written for young people. ArtStarts' Executive Director, Navida Nuraney chose to donate TIME by Andy Goldsworthy - a captivating book that Navida hopes will inspire a child.
On her bookplate, Navida wrote:
"Andy Goldsworthy’s art is a source of personal inspiration as it makes you pause and appreciate the beauty of nature in new ways. Inspiration is all around us - if you choose to look."
Find our more about why Navida chose this book on A Good Book Drive's blog.
