Announcing ArtStarts at River Market in New Westminster!

Our ArtStarts on Saturdays events at the ArtStarts Gallery have been very popular with families looking for fun, free things to do in Vancouver.

We''re happy to now be able to also offering these events on Sundays at River Market in New Westminster!

Each month, a talented performing artist or visual artist will hold a workshop at the ArtStarts Gallery in Vancouver on the last Saturday of the month. Then on the following day, the last Sunday of the month, they will host the workshop at ArtStarts at River Market in New Westminster.

This summer 2013 series at River Market was made possible by the River Market at Westminster Quay and Donald''s Market ONE Prize. Thank you to everyone in the community who voted to bring ArtStarts artists to New Westminster! We''re looking forward to a great time with New Westminster kids and families.

ArtStarts at River Market will kick off with magician Sheldon Casavant. Sheldon’s magic show is light-hearted and highly interactive. Objects will appear, disappear, and even float in the air. Magic is traditionally passed on from magician to magician, so Sheldon will even teach the secrets of some magic tricks to those in attendance. Sheldon’s contemporary style of magic has been appreciated around the world, from Canada to Japan.

Check out Sheldon''s workshop either in Vancouver or in New Westminster:
