ArtStarts Board of Directors and staff recently gathered at this year''s AGM. The Annual Report 2014 was presented, and we looked back on many of the accomplishments of the previous year.
We tallied the impact of all our programs and services—including artist performances in schools, artist residencies in the classroom, free family programming, our gallery of young people’s art, and more—and discovered that each year ArtStarts provides 640,000 unique arts experiences for young people in urban, rural and remote communities across British Columbia. That works out to 1,753 unique arts experiences every day of the year!
We are proud of these numbers, but even more so what they represent—an engaged and dedicated network of the educators, school administrators, professional artists, community members and supporters, who came together to bring the arts alive for young people across the province.

We also celebrated exiting Board member Dawn Quast, who completed seven years of service with ArtStarts. We thank Dawn for being constantly dedicated to the organization and its mission, never being shy about contributing her ideas and opinions, always advocating for rural regions of the province, and most of all, for sharing her deep passion for the arts.
