A Good Book Drive

Do you know of a good book? I bet you know of hundreds, thousands even… But if you had to choose just one to pass on to someone else, what would it be?

ArtStarts is happy to be participating in A Good Book Drive this month, a wonderful initiative that aims to "bring stories to a new generation of readers, and support kids in need of new books."

Throughout the month of November, you can drop off your favourite childhood book at one of several locations around the city, including right here at ArtStarts. You also get to fill in a special bookplate to share why that book is meaningful to you.

The books will be donated to this year's book drive recipient, Vancouver literacy program The Writers' Exchange.

Check out this interview with ArtStarts' Program Assistant, Elfred (who you met here on the blog yesterday) as he talks about why he selected Roald Dahl’s The BFG to donate to A Good Book Drive.

Find out more about A Good Book Drive on their website.

We hope to see you at ArtStarts this November with a good book in hand! We're located downtown, at 808 Richards (at Robson). Click here for a map and our hours.
