Peals of laughter rang through the gallery as 60 Grade 3/4s from Graham Bruce Elementary took part in a gallery tour followed by a session of timed, blind contour drawing, which aims to free up the drawing juices.
Each timed drawing –where two students stare at each other and draw them without lifting up the pencil or looking at the paper–was followed by shrieks of hilarity. These classes are currently working on an environmental art project with artist Lori Weidenhammer at their school. The finished work will be exhibited at the gallery.
