Award-winning band The Kerplunks visited ArtStarts today to deliver a fun-filled musical performance. The 4 talented members taught the audience about a variety of instruments, including bass, guitar, trumpet, trombone, banjo, drums, and even kazoo!
They also performed original songs from their two albums, from a swinging tune about the big string bass to a rap about dinosaurs. Kids and parents got into the groove with some dancing, particularly when it came time to sing "Go Bananas."
Thanks to The Kerplunks for a great show! Join us at ArtStarts on Saturdays next month for Taiko drumming with Bonnie Soon.
Many thanks to the TELUS Vancouver Community Board for their generous sponsorship of this series, as well as the BC Arts Council and The Province of BC.
