There's lots to look forward to in June. We're looking forward to getting creative with you at these two drawing events...
The Nano-Gigantic Drawing Experiment at ArtStarts:
A Vancouver Draw Down Event
Most everything in nature has a habit of starting out at a microscopic level and then, all of sudden BANG! Even an idea starts small before it erupts into something huge and amazing! Come join us at ArtStarts and explore the Nano-Gigantic Drawing Experiment! Create animal and botanical-inspired art using minuscule and humongous formats. Celebrate the big and the small things in nature!
This event is part of Vancouver Draw Down. Now in its 4th year, Vancouver Draw Down is a celebration of drawing in everyday life that challenges preconceptions about drawing and works to reconnect EVERYONE with the power and creative pleasure of making marks. Vancouverites of all ages are invited to take part in hands-on drawing events across the city in community centres, museums, art galleries and on the street! Projects, developed and led by professional artists, offer the opportunity to explore drawing in person and online. This day-long, city wide celebration focuses on the process, pleasure and diversity of drawing, rather than on skill and technical ability.
Free event! All ages welcome.
