Join us this weekend for a musical orbit with RupLoops!
RupLoops: A Musical Orbit is an interactive, live looping show, using vocal percussion, rhythmic rhymes and an arsenal of eclectic instruments. Rup utilizes his diverse skills as a musician to create a pulsating, entertaining and engaging musical experience. Young and old will explore vocal percussion and the art of live looping to co-create original music. Live looping is a new way to create music; it is the live recording, layering and playback of music created in real time using loop station technology. Rup will teach the basics of beat boxing as well as Indian vocal percussion to give participants an understanding of what he likes to call the "tongue drum!"
Check out Christian Swenson''s workshops either in Vancouver or in New Westminster:
If you're not already familiar with RupLoops, here's a quick look at his life performing at schools across the province:
Admission is free. No registration necessary, but do come early as this is a popular program. Each 45-minute workshop takes place twice, at 11am and 1pm. This workshop is recommended for ages 3-12, but all are welcome!
